Terms & Conditions

Effective date: December 21, 2025
Welcome to Honolulu Travels (the “Site”). By accessing or using this Site, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1) Who we are

The Site provides travel content about Honolulu and Oahu, including tips, guides, recommendations, and links to third-party tours and services.

When we say “we,” “us,” or “our,” we mean Honolulu Travels. When we say “you” or “your,” we mean any visitor, user, or reader of the Site.

2) Using the Site

You agree to use the Site for lawful purposes only. You also agree not to:

  • Copy, scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Site in a way that overloads or harms it
  • Try to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site
  • Post or transmit anything unlawful, harmful, threatening, defamatory, or infringing
  • Misrepresent who you are or where you are located
  • Use the Site in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation

We may restrict or terminate access to the Site at any time if we believe your use is harmful, abusive, or violates these Terms.

3) Travel information disclaimer

We do our best to keep content accurate and helpful, but travel details change fast.

The Site is provided for general informational purposes only. This includes (for example) advice on beaches, hikes, weather patterns, parking, closures, tour timing, costs, safety, ocean conditions, and local rules.

You understand and agree that:

  • Information on the Site may be outdated, incomplete, or incorrect
  • You are responsible for verifying details directly with official sources and tour operators
  • Your travel decisions are your own responsibility

4) Health, safety, and outdoor activity disclaimer

Hawaii has real risks: strong shore breaks, rip currents, flash floods, heat exposure, falling rocks, narrow roads, and changing trail and ocean conditions.

By using the Site, you agree that:

  • You are responsible for your own safety, health, and fitness for any activity
  • You will follow posted signs, closures, lifeguard guidance, and local laws
  • You will check conditions before entering the ocean or starting a hike
  • The Site is not a substitute for professional advice, training, or supervision

If you are unsure about safety, do not proceed.

5) Third-party links and services (including tour bookings)

The Site may link to third-party websites and services (for example, tour operators, booking platforms, restaurants, maps, and attractions). Those third parties control their own content, pricing, policies, and availability.

We do not run, manage, or guarantee any third-party services and we are not responsible for:

  • Your bookings, reservations, or purchases
  • Changes, cancellations, delays, or refunds
  • Injuries, losses, or damages connected to third-party activities
  • The accuracy, security, or privacy practices of third-party websites

Your relationship is with the third party. Always review their terms, conditions, and cancellation policies before booking.

6) Affiliate disclosure (Viator and other partners)

Some links on the Site may be affiliate links, including links to Viator. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

We recommend tours and experiences because we believe they are useful for travelers, not because of commissions. Still, you should assume that any outbound booking link could be an affiliate link unless stated otherwise.

7) Prices, availability, and promotions

Tour prices, entry fees, hours, permits, and availability can change at any time. Any pricing or timing information on the Site is provided as a convenience only and may not be current.

If you see a price or detail that matters to your plans, confirm it directly with the relevant provider.

8) Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, all content on the Site, including text, photos, graphics, branding, and design, is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may:

  • Read and share links to our pages
  • Quote short excerpts for non-commercial purposes if you clearly attribute Honolulu Travels and link back to the original page

You may not:

  • Copy, republish, sell, or distribute Site content for commercial purposes without written permission
  • Remove watermarks, credits, or copyright notices
  • Use our brand name, logo, or visual identity in a way that suggests endorsement or partnership

9) User submissions

If you submit comments, messages, or other content to us (including by email or contact form), you agree that:

  • You own the rights to what you submit, or you have permission to submit it
  • Your submission does not violate any law or third-party rights
  • We may use, reproduce, and display your submission for Site operations, moderation, and communication (for example, responding to your message or publishing a testimonial with your permission)

We are not obligated to publish or keep any submission.

10) Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

11) Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Honolulu Travels will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to:

  • Your use of, or inability to use, the Site
  • Any reliance on content on the Site
  • Any third-party links, services, bookings, or activities
  • Travel disruptions, cancellations, injuries, or losses

If a court finds we are liable for any reason, our total liability will be limited to the amount you paid us, if any, for access to the Site during the 12 months before the claim arose.

12) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Honolulu Travels from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Site
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any law or third-party rights

13) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will reflect the latest version. By continuing to use the Site after changes are posted, you agree to the updated Terms.

14) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada and applicable federal laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law rules.

You agree that any dispute will be handled in the courts located in Ontario, Canada, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

15) Severability

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining sections will remain in effect.
